Bangalore, Nov 11 (UNI) The BJP today accused the Congress of being responsible for the 13-day delay it had suffered in forming the first government in South India, in Karnataka.

Talking to newspersons after the BJP Legislature Party meeting here, party Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu said ''the Congress was responsible for the delay it had suffered in forming the coalition government in the state. However, wisdom ultimately prevailed and democracy was saved.'' ''The long cherished dream of the BJP coming to power in a South Indian state has materialised. The BJP-JD(S) combine will do well as it did during its first 20 months of rule under Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy. We will provide a successful government and complete the 19 months period,'' he said.
