TN BJP celebrates formation of coalition govt in Karnataka
Chennai, Nov 9 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today celebrated the party forming a coalition government in Karnataka on Monday.
Party state unit President L Ganesan launched the celebration by bursting crackers and distributing sweets at the party headquarters here.
''We are happy that BJP is heading a Government in the south for the first time and we are doubly happy that the news has come on the eve of Deepavali festival'', a highly elated Mr Ganesan told newspersons.
The BJP leader said the Centre, having announced a Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 1,000 per quintal of wheat, should announce a similar price for paddy.
The BJP led coalition Government is likely to be sworn-in on November 12 and B S Yeddyurappa is all set to sworn-in as Chief Minister of Karnataka.
