One killed, six injured in accident

Dharamshala, Nov 9 (UNI) One person was killed and six were injured when their Tata Sumo crashed into a tree at Kachiari in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh on the Pathankot-Mandi National Highway, police sources said today.

The driver of the vehicle lost control over the vehicle, which dashed against the tree, leaving seven people injured.

The sources said one of the injured, who was referred to PGI at Chandigarh, succumbed to his injuries near Dehra in Kangra district.

The dead was identified as Vinod Kumar, 35.

Four others injured in the accident have been admitted to Dr R P Government Medical College and Hospital here, while two others were discharged after first aid.

A case has been registered under Section 304 A and 279 of the IPC and investigations are on.
