New Government likely on Monday: Yeddyurappa

Bangalore, Nov 9 (UNI) The BJP led coalition government is likely to be sworn-in on November 12 in Karnataka, Mr B S Yeddyurappa, joint leader of the BJP-JD(S) legislature party said today.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Yeddyurappa, who would be the 25th Chief Minister of Karnataka said after holding discussions with Karantaka Governor today, the date for the swearing-in would be finalised today.

He said Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur had spoken to him twice after the Centre's decision to remove President's rule and pave the way to form the next popular government. ''I will meet with the Governor along with former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today and finalise the time and date for the swearing-in ceremony'', he said.

He said the swearing-in was likely to be on Monday as the day was considered auspicious, he said.

Mr Yeddyurappa said soon after forming the government, the Assembly would be convened as early as possible to prove the majority in the House.
