Kerala Govt would take steps to protect tourists: Minister

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 9 (UNI) Kerala Home and Tourism Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan today said the government would take necessary measures to ensure the safety of tourists in the state.

Inaugurating Malayalam Website (www.Mayalam.keralatourism.org) of the Tourism Department here, he said the new website would help younger generation to understand our culture and arts.

Stating that in the tourism sector the state had a prominent place at the International level, he said the government would initiate steps to implement more projects to attract a large number of tourists.

Mr Balakrishnan also said the government was keen to keep the important tourist destinations of the state clean.
