Jamait-e-Ulema leader Siddikulla prevented from Nandigram

Nandigram, Nov 9 (UNI) Jamait-e-Ulema leader Siddikulla Chowdhury was today prevented from entering Nandigram allegedly by the CPI(M) activists at Kolaghat in East Midnapore district.

Mr Chowdhury told newsmen that he along with his supporters was heading towards strife-torn Nandigram when the CPI(M) workers allegedly barred him from proceeding.

In protest against the act, they started road blockade between Kolaghat and Nandigram.

As a result traffic movement to and fro Nandigram almost came to a halt, police said.

Meanwhile, tension was still palpable in the area even as police and RAF personnel had been entering Nandigram since this morning.
