Diwali celebration in Bihar marred by evening showers

Patna, Nov 9 (UNI) An unexpected shower across Bihar in the evening marred the Diwali celebrations in the state.

However, almost all the houses and residential complexes were decorated with colourful lights though not many people were seen on the streets.

As a result of the sudden and unexpected shower, caused due to a local depression, the minimum temperature in Patna and elsewhere in the state had come down considerably to around 18.9 degree Celsius, the lowest so far, providing a somewhat chilling effect.

According to the local met office, similar condition might continue for the next 24 hours.
