CG to conduct national level SAR Exercise in Andaman water
Port Blair, Nov 9 (UNI) The Indian Coast Guard will be conducting a National level 'Search and Rescue Exercise' in the Andaman waters on November 16, during which rescue of passengers from ill-fated ship will be simulated.
''Various other agencies like PMB, DSS, A&N Admn, A&N Police, SCI, TCI, DGCA, AAI and Customs, besides Indian Navy and Indian Airforce will participate,'' Commandant Akshay Jain, PRO of Indian Coast Guard in Andaman told UNI today. Director General Indian Coast Guard Vice-Admiral R F Contractor will also inspect the Search and Rescue Exercise in Andaman, Jain added.
