Burglers decamp with booty

Puducherry, Nov 9(UNI) Burglers struck again at Lawspet here last night.

Police said miscreants broke open the back door of the house of Manzoor, Director, Tourism Department at Lawspet and the house of a bank officer at Avvainagar in the same area and decamped with the booty.

The inmates of both the houses were not in the house at the time of the crime and hence, the quantum of the money and properties lost were not known so far.

Investigation was underway, police added.
