Rape attempt on 3 women of family

Gonda, Nov 8 (UNI) Masked men grievously wounded three women of a family, while trying to outrage their modesty in Kotwali area of the district.

In a complaint, the victims' kin alleged unidentified miscreants barged into their house in village Akelwa yesterday and severely wounded three women of the family after they protested the rape bid.

Later, the victims had been sent for a medical examination.

An FIR had been lodged against eight people and a hunt for them was on, police said today.
