Khanduri greets people on state's 7th anniversary and Diwali

Dehradun, Nov 8 (UNI) Uttarakhand Chief Minister Maj Gen (Retd) Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri today greeted the people of the state on the eve of state's seventh anniversary of formation and Diwali.

In his message, Gen Khanduri said the formation of the state came after a lot of sacrifices and long struggle.

Asking everybody to rise above political line and contribute in the development of the state, he said, ''Now it is the duty of the government and the people to take the state towards prosperity in tune of the martyrs' dreams.'' He said several short-term and long-term programs and schemes had been launched by the government to emerge the state as a model state of the country.
