Diwali 'Gift' for aged persons of BPL families in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Nov 7 (UNI) In a virtual Diwali gift to senior citizens of the economically weaker sections, the Rajasthan Government has decided to provide old age family pension to all senior citizens of BPL families.

As per the communication sent to all District Collectors by Principal Secretary Socail Welfare Department, all members in BPL families, who have completed 65 years age are to be covered under the old age pension scheme.

The payment to the eligible persons under the scheme should be made either through the Post Office saving account or money order, the collectors are directed.

The 2002 list of BPL families would be the basis for the purpose.
