Judges join rally to spread legal awareness

Baripada, Nov 6 (UNI) Judges today joined a rally by school students to create legal awareness among the people.

Students carrying banners and placards marched in a procession through the main thoroughfares of the town to educate the people about the efficacies of settling their disputes through the Lok Adalats.

The awareness campaign was organised by the District Legal Aid Advice Board.

District and Sessions Judge, Mayurbhanj, Sachidananda Sahoo, flagged off the rally from the court campus.

Additional Sessions Judge, Baripada, Jyotiprakash Chand, Chief Judicial Magistrate Govind Chandra Panigrahi and Registrar of the Civil Court Prabhakar Mishra, joined the students in their march in on the street.

The awareness campaign was part of the on-going national campaign for legal awareness.
