Gramin banks to go on strike on Jan 10 and 11

Kolkata, Nov 6 (UNI) Joint Forum of Gramin Bank Unions, an apex body of 95 gramin banks across the country, today called a two-day nation-wide strike from January 10 and dharna before Parliament in New Delhi on November 27 demanding various benefits for employees.

JFGBU convenor Dilip Kumar Mukherjee in a statement said the agitation was to press for implementation of banking pension settlement, 1993 and 1994 in RRBs, parity with sponsor banks in payment of all other allowances and benefits/service conditions as per the Supreme Court order.

Proper manpower, recruitment and promotion policies are among their other demands.
