Free travel by DTC buses for city women on Bhaiya Dooj

New Delhi, Nov 6 (UNI) Five days before Bhaiya Dooj, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today announced a festival gift for the women of the capital, saying they will all be allowed free travel by Delhi Transport Corporation buses on that day.

Addressing a gathering on the occasion of the launch of DTC low-floor CNG buses, she said all women would be allowed free travel between 0800 hrs and 1700 hrs by DTC buses so that they don't have to shell out money while going to their brothers' houses to celebrate the festival.

In a lighter vein, she said,'' This might result in all men in the capital not going to their sisters' houses at all and instead asking the latter to come over as they will not have to fork out money for travel on that day.'' UNI RL SHB RN1801
