Official sources said here today that Ms Singh was on a two-day tour to Tawang district from November three to inspect the ongoing DoNER-sponsored projects.

Stating that the Tawang district had vast potential from the tourism point of view, the secretary urged the state government to submit detailed project reports to the DoNER Ministry for undertaking further course of action.

On construction of airport, the DoNER secretary said the project report should be made through the Airports Authority of India.

The proposal for porter tracks from Mago to Thingbu could be considered as it was significant for the welfare of the people of the area, she said, adding that the response and implementation of all projects by the state government was quite impressive and the Centre would consider giving more funds.
