Azad's birth day to be celebrated as education day in Bihar

Patna, Nov 6 (UNI) The Bihar government has decided to celebrate November 11, the birthday of country's first education minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad as ''Education Day'' in the state.

Announcing this here today, state HRD Minister Virshin Patel said November 11 will be celebrated as Education Day throughout the state even at block levels. In one of the main functions in the city, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will also paricipate, he informed.

All the district administrations have been instructed to celebrate the day with due respect, Mr Patel said, adding that Bihar was the first state to celebrate the day in such a befitting manner.
