Relatives identify the body as that of Kajal
Patna, Nov 5 (UNI) In the statement given before the court on oath, four people claimed that the body of a young lady, found in the state capital on October 31, was that of their relative Kajal.
During the day, all four were produced by police before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) with a prayer to record their statement on oath under section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). The CJM authorised Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate to record the statement.
Out of the four, two witnesses, Bibha Devi and Megha Arya, claimed that Kajal was their sister. Other two witnesses, a couple Gorishankar Pathak and Tanuja Devi, said Kajal was living with them since she was eight and went to her home after attaining adulthood.
All the four witnesses claimed to have identified the body as that of Kajal from the cut finger and mark of tattos on the hand.
The body was found under Shashtri Nagar Police Station area near the community hall of electricity colony on October 31.
