One killed 40 injured in road accident in Orissa

Puri, Nov 5 (UNI) One person was killed and 40 injured, seven of them critically, when two passenger buses collided head on near Satsankha under the Pipili police station on NH 203 today.

Police said while Bansidhar Das, driver of one of the vehicles, died on the spot, the driver of the other bus and six others were in critical condition.

While one of the buses was on its way to Puri, the other vehicle was heading towards Bhubaneswar.

Police said the seriosuly injured were sent to the Bhubaneswar and SCB medical college and hospital, Cuttack, while about 20 were being treated in Puri and other hospitals.
