Mysore winter season to commense from Nov 8

Mysore, Nov 5 (UNI) A total stakes amount of Rs 2.21 crore will be offered during the 16-day Mysore Winter racing season beginning here on November eight.

Mysore Race Club (MRC) Secretary K G Anantaraj Urs said in a release that over 400 horses are expected to participate during the season with 20 trainers licensed under the BTC would saddle their runners while jockeys from different parts of the country would don the silks.

Meanwhile the stewards of MRC cancelled the first day races scheduled for November eight owing the paucity of acceptors.
