KSA State Secretary among 3 hacked to death in Kannur

Kannur, Nov 5 (UNI) Three people, including a KSU State Secretary, were today hacked to death in separate attacks here.

Kerala Students Union (KSU) State Secretary K Binoj (26) was hacked to death, allegedly by SFI activists, at S N park near here.

Binoj, a student of Thalassery HDC, was on way to his house at Barnassery when he was attacked. He was admitted to the district hospital with serious injuries on his legs.

In another incident, Ayyappan Shaji (29), a BJP worker, was allegedly hacked by CPI(M) workers at Lolassery in Thalassery. He sustained serious head injuries and was admitted to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.

In the third incident, a CPI(M) worker, M Jasin (29), was hacked to death by alleged RSS activists at Kundu Chira at Thalassery.

He was admitted to the Thalassery Cooperative Hospital with serious injuries.

Meanwhile, security was tightened in the area with the deployment of more police force. No arrests were made and search was on for the culprits, police said.
