Apar bags order from Ethiopian Power Corp

New Delhi, Nov 5: Electrical and metallurgical firm Apar Industries Ltd today said its conductor division has received a Rs 122.5 crore export order from Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation to supply aluminum alloy conductors, galvanized steel wires and aluminum round tie wire.

This order from Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation, a sole power utility of the Federal Government of Ethiopia, will further strengthen the order book position of company's conductor division, a company statement said.

Apar Industries recently announced that it will sell its polymer unit to the Indian arm of France-based Eliokem group for Rs 111 crore. The sale of the unit, based in Valia, Gujarat, would be done on a going-concern basis and the deal will be finalised within 90 days.
