2 killed, 6 hurt in freak mishap near Chandrapur
Nagpur, Nov 5 (UNI) Two persons were killed and six others injured in a freak mishap, involving three trucks, an auto-rickshaw and a bicycle in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra today.
According to police, the mishap occurred when a truck slammed into an another oncoming truck, then hit the third one, parked on the road, which it was trying to overtake, at village Padoli, about 15 kms from Chandrapur, this morning.
The auto-rickshaw and the bicycle were crushed between the two speeding trucks, police said.
The deceased include the bicyclist, identified as Milind Baliram Bambode (26), and the driver of the stationary truck, identified as Dinkar Bhaurao Meshram (45), police said. Those injured included the drivers of the two other trucks and occupants of the auto-rickshaw, police said adding that all the injured had been hospitalised.
