Gem worth Rs 15 lakh looted from jewellery shop in Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 4 (UNI) Two unidentified armed men looted an American gem worth Rs 15 lakh allegedly at a gun-point from a jewellery shop here today.

According to police sources, the two men carrying a pistol entered the shop Gem Palace on Juhu-Tara Road in Santacruz area of the city at around 1230 hrs, and threatened an employee, Arjun Sharma, to hand over the gem worth Rs 15 lakh. The owner of the jewellery mart was not present at the time of the incident.

The Santacruz Police have registered a case against the duo. No arrest has been made in this connection, police added.
