Sniper shot from Pak side wounds Army jawan on LoC

Jammu, Nov 3 (UNI) An army jawan was today critically wounded by a bullet fired from across the border at Mendhar in the frontier Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Sepoy Satish R, of 29 Dog Unit, deployed at Kranti Post in Mendhar, received a bullet shot from the Pakistani side at 0900 hrs this morning, official source told UNI.

The wounded sepoy was immediately shifted to the Army's Command Hospital, Udhampur.

His condition was stated to be critical, the official informed.
