Senior police officer escapes bid on life in Kashmir
Baramulla, Nov 3 (UNI) A senior officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Police today escaped an attempt on his life by suspected militants in this border district today, official sources said.
They said unidentified gunmen fired at the Station House Officer (SHO) of Baramulla police station, Mohammad Abdullah, when he, along with his escort was passing through the bus stand here.
While the SHO escaped unhurt in the attack, one of his guards, constable Abid Ahmed, was critically wounded, the sources added.
He has been hospitalised.
