Medico Masti an effort towards new medical ethics
New Delhi, Nov 3 (UNI) Doctors must treat their patient with love, and try to make them spiritually healthy.
Over a thousand doctors and students from all the medical colleges of Delhi were participating in a programme to highlight the need for entertainment, fun and recreation for the medical community and also to make an effort to usher in new medical ethics.
They were advised by their senior colleagues to be soft spoken, punctual in appointments and attend to patients always with a smile on their face while taking care not to over prescribe unnecessary drugs which have various side effects.
Dr K K Aggarwal, an eminent Cardiologist who is also the Mela president, and Dr N K Yadav, Medical Health Officer, MCD said doctors should write the prescriptions and the case history legibly.
''Do not go for injections at all unless it is extremely necessary, instead tablets are a good choice,'' Dr Aggarwal said.
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit inaugurated the nine-day Perfect Health Mela.
