Man beaten to death for land dispute

Bijapur rpt Bijapur(Karnataka), Nov 3 (UNI) A person was bludgeoned to death in connection with a land dipute at Yargal in Sindegi taluk here today.

Virgal Kerar was attacked by miscreants with sharp weapons at a hotel. Eight others, who resisted the attack, were also injured seriously.

Police said that the land dispute between Kerar and Suleman may have been the motive behind the crime.

Superintendent of Police Murugan, who visited the place, said that the eight persons, were arrested in this connection.

In another incident, some robbers decamped with a cash worth Rs 15 lakhs and gold ornaments from a house of Jamdar in Jalanagar Colony by breaking the backdoor of house.
