KAS stages dharna against Assam's water policy

Guwahati, Nov 3 (UNI) Krishak Adhikar Sangram Samity today staged a dharna against the new water policy of Assam Government.

Renowned literateur and public activist Dr Hiren Gohain Deben Dutta led the dharna. They said that with the implementation of the new policy, people will lose their right over free usage of water.

The dharna, staged at Dispur, submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, urging him to reconsider the water policy.
