New Delhi, Nov 3 (UNI) A local court today rejected the bail application of a Sub-Inspector Rajeshwar Prasad Sharma, who was facing trial for kidnapping and abetment of suicide of a TSR driver.
The TSR driver Ajay Kumar had committed suicide on March 12, 2007 and his body was found hanging in the house of Surender Kumar, the brother-in-law of Sharma.
Sharma who is a Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police had filed the bail application after the complainant, the wife of the deceased, had turned hostile.
Additional Sessions Judge Pratibha Rani while rejecting the bail application said that even the complainant had turned hostile whereas the other witnesses were yet to be examined.
It was argued on behalf of Sharma that the deceased owed money to his brother-in-law and he was in no way involved in the offence.
Earlier, on September 15, the court had framed charges against the accused.
