BSP MP appears in court in Gram Pradhan murder case

Jaunpur, Nov 3 (UNI) Ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Umakant Yadav today appeared before the Chief Judicial Magistrate court under tight security.

On August 24, Japtapur Gram Pradhan Shyam Kanhaiyya Yadav was indiscriminately fired upon by assailants in Sarai Khwaja area. He had later succumbed on September thee during treatment.

An FIR was lodged against the BSP MP from Machlishahr parliamentary counstituenty here and police had filed chargesheets in the court, on the basis of which, the accused, presently lodged in Fatehgarh Central Jail, was produced before Chief Judicial Magistrate Ramkesh Singh.

Mr Singh transferred the case in the sessions court and directed Yadav to appear before District and Sessions court, Jaunpur, on November 15.
