14 kg poppy straw, 30 ltrs illicit liquor recovered

Jammu, Nov 3 (UNI) Police recovered 14 kg of poppy straw and 30 litres of illicit liquor and arrested two persons in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources today said.

On specific information, police raided in village Sawan Chak and recovered a hidden consignment of 14-kilograms of poppy straw but no arrest had been made in this connection.

''We had information that illicit liquor business was being run near village Palli Morh. A raid was conducted and 30 litres of liquor was seized and two persons were also arrested,'' police told UNI
