Smuggler held with Bangaldeshi and Indian currencies
Basirhat, Nov 02 (UNI) The BSF today apprehended a smuggler from the Bithari area, bordering Bangladesh, under Swarupnagar police station in North 24 Parganas.
Police said the BSF recovered both Indian and Bangladeshi currencies from his possession and handed him over to the police.
The miscreant was waiting at the area to receive some consignment to be smuggled from across the border, police added.
The BSF seized 44,000 Bangladeshi Taka and Rs 70,000 from his possession.
A case had been registered with the Swarupnagar police station in this regard, police added.
