Rantanmawi crowned ''Miss Kut, 2007''

Imphal, Nov 2 (UNI) Ms Rantanmawi was crowned ''Miss Kut, 2007'' at a glittering ceremony here.

About 30 beauties participated in the contest yesterday which was organised as a part of the Kut festival in Manipur.

The Kut festival is a post-harvest observation of the Kuki-Chin Mizo communities.

Ms Anuska Sharma and Ms Tingneiuah Sitlhou were crowned first and second runners-up respectively at the pageant held at the first Manipur Rifles ground.

The winner was presented a cash prize of Rs 50,000 while the first and second runners-up won cash awards of Rs 35,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.
