Rana Som takes over as CMD of NMDC

Hyderabad, Nov 2 (UNI) Mr Rana Som today took over as the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of National Mineral Development Corporation Limited.

Mr Som had been a functional Director on the Board of Hindustan Copper Limited and the State Trading Corporation of India Limited since November 2000. He was also the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Hindustan Copper Limited for a period of one-and-a-half years till March 31, 2005, when he turned around the company, a company release here said.

He represented India in the International Copper Study Group in Lisbon in 2004 and was the keynote speaker in the Asian Mining Congress in Singapore in 2005.
