Hyderabad, Nov 2 (UNI) Pragati Resorts Promoter G B K Rao today said the resorts planned to develop a world class integrated township here with residential and commerical establishments, including malls and multiplexes.

Talking to newspersons in connection with the 'Award of Eco-Tourism' given to the resorts by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department in recognition of Pragati's accomplishments, its strict adherence to business ethics and quality, he said the township would come up in 450 acres of land located 1.5 km away from the second phase of Outer Ring Road at Edulanagulapalli village in Medak district.

Mr Rao said in view of the increasing demand for residential townships, the government should provide infrastructure like water, electricity and roads to encourage townships developed by private business houses.

He stressed the importance of shifting from chemical fertilizers to bio-fertilizers which were eco-friendly and non-polluting. He suggested use of organic material, biodegradable material and cow dung as alternatives to chemical fertilizers.

He said by sensitively maintaining ecological balance and leaving the topography undisturbed, the resort has spread a green cover across the sprawling expanse.

He said the water bodies with fish and ducks, vegetation with birds in their midst and the optimum use of natural resources had turned Pragati resorts into a landmark in the sphere of eco and healthy tourism.
