Militants kidnap tea estate asst manager

Mangaldoi, Nov 02 (UNI) Suspected Adivasi militants last night kidnapped Assistant Manager of the Orang Tea Estate Birinchi Bharali, trigging panic amongst the tea estates of northern bank.

According to police sources, six militants swooped down on the Assistant Manager's bungalow, overpowered the two night chowkidars and kidnapped Birinchi Bharali at the gunpoint.

In fact the militants used the personal vehicle of Mr Bharali while decamping. The vehicle was later found abandoned by police at Lamabari,near the Assam-Arunachal border.
