Hooda to be honoured by dalit organisations

Chandigarh, Nov 2 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will be honoured by dalit organisations at a rally in Karnal on December nine for his recent ''pro-poor.'' announcements, including allotment of free plots to poor dalits.

Talking to reporters here, Haryana Congress president Phool Chand Mullana said the Karnal rally was earlier scheduled to be held on December six but had now been postponed to December nine.

To a question on the proposed Rohtak rally of disgruntled Congress leader Bhajan Lal in December, Mr Mullana said since it was not a Congress rally he would not attend it even if invited.

Asked if any action would be taken against Mr Bhajan Lal, he said any decision in this regard would be made by Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
