Home Ministry in touch with Chhatisgarh govt about naxal attack
New Delhi, Nov 2 (UNI) The Home Ministry is in touch with the Chhattisgarh Government to get details of the reported killing of 15 security personnel in a blast and firing by naxalites at a patrolling party near Tongada village in Maoist- infested Bijapur district in Bastar region of the state.
''We are contacting the Chhattisgarh government to get the details of the incident,'' Home Ministry spokesman told UNI.
According to Bijapur police sources, the Maoist killed security personnel belonging to the Chhattisgarh Armed Force and district police and looted arms and ammunitions.
The patrolling party had 21 security personnel of whom five escaped with minor injuries while fate of one person was not yet known.
