Former UNI News editor E M K Nmaboodiripad dead

Kochi, Nov 2 (UNI) Senior journalist and former UNI News Editor E M K Namboodiripad died of old age here this afternoon. He was 83.

He is survived by wife Sridevi, two daughters Gauri Narayanan and Devi Vasudevan and son E M Anujan.

Family sources said that Namboodiripad had returned from a trip to Delhi, where his daughter stays, on October 15. He was not ailing but had been quite weak because of old age, sources added.

The body was cremated at Tripunithura near here this evening. He retired from UNI
