Economically Backward Classes Commission team calls on Hooda
Chandigarh, Nov 2 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today assured the members of the National Commission for Economically Backward Classes that the state would send its view and recommendations on criteria for identification of Economically Backward Classes and quantum of reservation in education and government employment after examining various aspects of the matter.
The Chief Minister gave this assurance to the team of Commission including Mr Narendra Kumar, Member and Mr Mahendra Singh, Member-Secretary of the Commission during a meeting held here.
Earlier, the team had requested the Chief Minister to sending the suggestions and recommendations.
The members of the team also held discussions with the Haryana Chief Secretary Promilla Issar and other senior officers of the state government.
The Chief Secretary stressed the need for taking care of the health and education of the children of Economically Backward Classes. The members of the team appreciated the cooperation extended by the state Government during their visit.
