Mumbai, Nov 2 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP spokesman Madhav Bhandari today criticised the state government for suspending the Sawantwadi godown keeper from where the BJP leaders had procured samples of rotten wheat.

Mr Bhandari told newspersons that he along with Mr Kirit Somaiya had visited Sawantwadi godown and collected the samples.

Godown keeper Anand Narvekar was suspended yesterday for allowing the two to enter into the godown and for keeping the rotten wheat, Mr Bhandari said.

He said the government godown is not a prohibited area and, so, it is not a crime to enter the godown. If the government wants to take action on the storage of the rotten wheat then it should take action against the food and civil supplies secretary also, the BJP leader said.
