AIR and Doordarshan employees stage dharna

Hyderabad, Nov 2 (UNI) All India Radio and Doordarshan Administrative Staff Association (ADASA) members today staged a day-long dharna, demanding that the Centre release orders pertaining to Prasar Bharati scales (upgraded) to the programme and engineering sections.

CPI MP S Sudhakar Reddy, who addressed the agitators, said he would raise the issue in Parliament and expressed solidarity with the Association.

The proposed November six agitation in this regard was suspended as the Centre had invited the national council for talks. The Association would launch an agitation from November 20 if the talks failed.
