8 more fall victim to 'zeharkhurani'

Barabanki, Nov 2 (UNI) Eight passengers were alighted from the Gwalior-Barauni Express in an unconscious state after they fell victim to 'Zeharkhurani' (drug and rob) gang here last night, police said today.

Government Railway Police (GRP) disembarked the victims from the train at Barabanki railway station and admitted them to the district hospital.

As many as 14 people had fallen victim during the last three days.

The modus-operandi of the gang is to give passengers food laced with sedatives and later rob them.
