60 students get medals in 4th Convocation of Nirma Varsity

Ahmedabad, Nov 2 (UNI) The 4th Convocation of Nirma University of Science and Technology was held at its campus today in presence of Tulsi Tanti, renowned industrialist and Chairman&Managing Director of Suzlon Energy Limited.

As Chief Guest, Tanti lauded the students for their achievements and wished them the best for a bright career.

As many as sixty students were awarded medals for scholary performance and for the 'Best Student' in different programmes. The awardees at the convocation, ranged from PhD, M Tech, MCA, M Pharm, M Sc, to B. Tech, B. Pharm and ADFT Diploma programmes.

Nirma University of Science and Technology is the brainchild of its President Dr. Karsanbhai K Patel, a well-known industrialist and Philanthropist, who believes in this activity of education as his mission of life and as reward to the society in which he grew.

While addressing the convocation, Dr Patel congratulated the students on successful completion of their programmes and urged them to put in their best efforts in whatever career they have chosen.

He said that more than acquiring education, it was important to apply it for betterment of self, community and country.

Sharing his happiness on the occasion, Prof. N. V. Vasani, Vice Chancellor of Nirma University, advised the students to put in hard work, be dedicated, pursue continuous learning and focus on career building. He also suggested the students to be socially responsible individuals and serve the nation.
