Winter round the corner in Delhi, mercury drops to 14.0 Deg C

New Delhi, Nov 1 (UNI) With diwali just a week away, the winter season in Delhi seems round the corner.

The city's tryst with chilly weather seems to continue with the mercury today plummeting to 14 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal.

Delhiites witnessed another chilly morning today with the minimum temperature dropping further to 14 degrees, from 14.7 degrees yesterday.

For the second consecutive day, a slight mist was witnessed in the morning.

The maximum also stayed one degree below normal at 31 degrees.

The coming days are not likely to see any let up from the chill with the weatherman forecasting a minimum temperatures of 31 degrees tomorrow.

The met office has forecast a mainly clear sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with the likelihood of mist or haze in the morning.
