Three day Youth Festival at DBIMCS concludes

Chandigarh, Nov (UNI) The three-day-long ''Youth Festival'' of Punjabi University concluded at Desh Bhagat Institute of management and Computer sciences at Mandi Gobindgarh, Dr Zora Singh, the chairman of the Desh bhagat Group said here.

Around 570 students took part today in Skit, Mime, Debate, Elocution, Poetic Recitation and Bhangra in performing arts whereas Embroidery, Pakhi Making, Mehandi, Gudia Patola, Tokri, Mitti De Khidone, Chikli, Peerhi, Sewain, Nala Bunnan, Rassa, Chikko, Innu, Khiddo, Paranda and Crochia initiated under fine art and Folk Art items Kand Te Chitarkari attracted large number of visitors, he said.

Over 22 colleges from all over Punjab took part in the festival where Bhangra was one of the main attraction of the day, in which even the audience participated with zeal.

In the evening, Cabinet Minister for Co-operation captain Kanwaljeet Singh distributed the prizes to the winners.
