Maoist ultras shoot CPI(M) leader in Bengal

Purulia, Nov 01:Suspected Maoist ultras killed CPI(M) leader Bhagirath Karmakar when they attacked his house at Barabazar, about 50 km from here, early this morning.

Police said the unidentified assailants hurled bombs on the house and killed Mr Karmakar on the spot.

The Purulia Superintendent of Police rushed to the spot with a big contingent and combing operations had been started in the area to track down the culprits, police added.
