Shiva Prasad gets French award for education

New Delhi, Nov 1 (UNI) The French 'Officier des Palmes Academiques' Award was today conferred on Prof Shiva Prasad, Director of the Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advance Research (IFCPAR), for his contribution to education.

The Award was presented to Prof. Prasad by visiting French Minister for Higher Education and Research Valerie Pecresse on the 20th anniversary of IFCPAR.

Ms Pecresse said IFCPAR was an efficient instrument of bilateral management of scientific research.

She said Prof. Prasad had been helping in renewal of interest in scientific fields and injecting young blood in selected scientific teams.

Prof. Prasad has been the director of IFCPAR for the past two years.
