Punjab resident arrested with 50 kg bhukki

Jammu, Nov 1 (UNI) Police have arrested a Punjab resident and seized 50 kg poppy husk from his possession here, official sources today said.

The person, identified as Manjeet Singh, of Mirpur Jattan in Nawashehr tehsil of Punjab, was apprehended during routine police checking at bus stand yesterday evening.

During preliminary questioning, he revealed that the contraband was being taken from Srinagar to his native place.
